Sweet Smoothie Bowl in a SNAP

A couple years ago smoothie bowls were all the rage. Even I was addicted, but now that I live a fat-based lifestyle, I've realized many smoothie bowl recipes aren't keto-friendly and are actually packed with tons of fruit sugars and hidden carbs. These smoothie bowls aren't as good for us as we used to think - honey, sugar packed granolas, and tons of fructose can actually make us crash and burn a few hours after consuming. This doesn't mean we need to rule out enjoying smoothie bowls forever - it just means we should be more cautious of whats going in them!


Making keto-smoothie bowls happens to be one of my favorite ways to kick a sweet craving or refuel after a workout. One ingredient that has amped up my smoothie-bowl game are KETO-SNAPS!



WAIT: What's a Keto-Snap?!

Keto-Snaps are completely keto-friendly, perfectly crunchy cookies that are gluten, grain, and even sugar alcohol free (hard to find in most low / no sugar keto treats). They come in 3 delicious flavors: Ginger, Cacao (taste like oreos), and Cinn-illa (taste EXACTLY like nilla-wafers)

My Favorite Keto Snap Recipe:

I love taking my snaps on the go, using them for ice cream sandwiches, and even just dipping them in milk. But one of my favorite ways to enjoy Keto-Snaps is in homemade smoothie bowls. I am always developing new keto-smoothie recipes and my current favorite is one I made specifically for my Keto-Snaps: Cookies & Greens Cream.


Cookies & Greens Cream Smoothie: I try my best to get all my greens in throughout the day but it's not always easy. One way to make it easier is by making it yummier and fun - AKA adding Keto-Snaps! I treat myself to this yummy concoction as breakfast, lunch, or even a post-workout treat. It's completely keto-friendly, guilt free, AND delicious.


Ingredients:

- 1/2 frozen avocado

- 1 cup spinach or greens of choice

- 5 SweetLeaf Vanilla Creme Drops

- 2-3 pinches of pink salt

- Handful of ice


Instructions:

1. Blend all ingredients together BUT leave out one Keto-Snap for dipping and / or topping!

2. Pour in a bowl and add Keto-friendly toppings!

Examples:

- flax or chia seeds

- more Keto-Snaps

- cacao nibs

- keto-friendly nut butter (pecan, macadamia, or brazil-nut)

- low-carb berries (raspberries or blackberries)

- coconut flakes

3. ENJOY A YUMMY, GUILT-FREE, SWEET TREAT!
