My 4 Go-To Holiday-Gut-Healing Drinks

Turkey Day is over, but everything you indulged in is probably still hanging over your top pants button. These drinks serve as handy helpers to reset your system and help me pretend 4 slices of pumpkin pie didn't happen.

Teatonic I LOVE MY GUT

This little bottle is filled with what I believe to be a magic potion that helps to battle bloat and indigestion without being too 'i-need-to-find-a-bathroom-ASAP' harsh like many other digestion teas. I usually don't enjoy the taste of ginger tea, but Teatonic got it right pairing it with ingredients like fennel seed, dandelion root, milk thistle seed to help kick start digestion and cinnamon, orange peel and cardamon give the tea a nice spiced chai flavor.

Dirty Cleanse Lemon Detox Elixir

As unappealing as a sipping a dark black mixture of volcanic charcoal, lemon, ginger, and dandelion root sounds, this stuff actually tastes amazing (to me, at least) and works like a charm. If you're not familiar with the powers of activated charcoal, it's a natural mineral powder that binds to toxins and other unnecessary stuff (mashed potatoes, pecan pie, hard apple cider) in your digestive tract and flushes everything out with it when it leaves your body. Although I find this detox pretty yummy I don't advise drinking it anywhere besides the comfort of your own home, due to the fact that you appear to be drinking street tar and may have the urge to run to the bathroom mid-subway ride.

BRAGG Organic Apple Cider Vinegar All Natural Drinks

Before stumbling upon these drinks I was one of those people that took straight ACV shots on the regular - I am no longer that person (thank god). It seems to me that Bragg did a little self reflection and came to the conclusion that even though ACV is the holy grail of health, the taste is unappetizing and even unbearable for a lot of us. These drinks magically make drinking apple cider vinegar 100x easier on your throat and taste buds without making you question your sanity like I do when taking an ACV shot to the face. These drinks are blended with one other good-for-you ingredient and sweetened with stevia and are shockingly delicious. There are 7 yummy flavors and my favorite is Limeade because when I close my eyes I can pretend I am drinking a mojito.

Bigelow Lemon Ginger Herb Probiotic Tea

Of all the digestive-aiding hot teas I have tried in my lifetime (and trust me there have been several) this one tops them all. It has both prebiotics and the probiotic BC30 that helps balance out your system. There are so many digestive teas out there that seriously destroy you (in other terms - make you not want to leave your home all day due to embarrassment of running to the bathroom). This one is super gentle, but gives your digestive tract that perfect little push it needs to get going. Ingredients like as lemongrass, cinnamon, lemon peel, and rose hips give the tea a nice, zesty taste as opposed to an overpowering ginger taste most other digestive teas seem to have. This tea is so yummy I find myself making it my go-to winter morning beverage, stirring in a bit of matcha, pumpkin pie spice, and coconut milk. If you're going to try anything on this list, try this one (PLUS: its the cheapest)!
